# What is $THINK?

$THINK is the native ERC20 governance token of the THINK Protocol and powers  the core economic layer for the AI agent ecosystem. It enables users to upgrade THINK Agents (Non-Fungible Intelligences), customize their capabilities, and power their interactions across web2 and web3 environments.

Beyond powering agents, $THINK is used to access premium AI models, storage, and compute services and unlock advanced experts and plugin modules. It facilitates transactions between agents, supports licensing for developer-built tools, and acts as the currency within the agent negotiation layer.

As more developers and companies build on the protocol, $THINK secures transaction and resource allocation across the ecosystem - from personalized AI assistants to enterprise agents and the tools they use - making it a foundational layer for scalable, interoperable AI experiences.
